Summary

Morula marginalba is a predatory snail found on intertidal and rocky shores. It is most abundant in the eastern coast of Australia. The snail’s characteristic feature is the spiral row of nodules on it’s shell that give it the “mulberry” appearance. The mulberry whelk’s ability to right itself when it’s shell has been turned over is best when on its natural habitat, a rocky substrate. The diet of the snail consists of oyster, barnacle, limpets, and sometimes other gastropods.
